I've got a '92 bronc with push button 4wd.
when I push to engage 4wd I can here the electrical clicking noise like it's trying to engage, but it doesn't. (The noise coming from the passenger side wall sounds like something is engaging but the transfer case doesn't respond, then it disengages- i guess that's the ECU module or something)
is there a typical component on the transfer case I need to look at/replace at this point?
If you are inclined, it is not to tough to remove and repair the t-case shift motor yourself. Took me a couple hours. Pay careful attention to how it comes apart. Check out this link for the tech info you will need. Good Luck. www.glue.umd.edu/~singletn/web/pages/tcase.html
