Hey all! Found this site out of frustration concerning my windows and wipers on my 1998 F-150 V-8 4x4. We winter in Arizona and the truck stays up north in Wa State.. Last year, the windows would work only on "acc" and now they don't work at all. This year, the wipers work on "acc", but as soon as the engine starts, they don't. One of my gauges does not work (goes to max), but heater, etc., work fine. Checked the fuses, swaped relays, no help. Any clues?
Sir, you have posted in the wrong forum. This one is for the previous generation of trucks.
There is a forum for your truck and you will probably have better luck posting there.
I would say you have an ignition switch issue, the actual sliding part that makes the contacts not the key part, or possibly a ground issue, but the guys in the section for your truck will be able to help you more efficiently.
