I just joined this site, so excuse me while I learn to navigate to the correct forum. 1998 F-150 V-8 4x4, bought new, great truck! I left it up in WA State last winter and now my power windows don't work and the wipers work only on "acc", then quit when the engine is started. Any clues? Thanks, M
I'm not saying it is likley , but possible . Depends on how the switch is wired . I have seen them drop only one or two feeds . Other things still work .
What is common to both is the GEM module.
On a 98, if the windshield leaks onto the Gem under the dash, corrosion sets in and anything is possible, as a result.

Thanks, that makes complete sense, as the windshield has some major cracks & dings. Adding that up to it sitting in the NW over the winter, makes me wonder if the rig, with 236.000 miles, is worth dinking with.
