Sure does seem like a very expensive way to bump the timing up 3 or 4 degrees.. From what every one on this forum says, that's about all the so-called performance chips do for these trucks. Same thing on the throttle body spacers.... Making the intake air go another 1/2 inch or so isn't going to do a thing....

Mail-order tuning isn't going to give the same results as a dyno tune will. These chips can firm your shifting, change shift points, remove speed limiter, change timing curves and MAF transfer, as well as injector pulse.
But....
Buying one stock off the shelf may make a noticeable difference, but not the optimum difference for your particular vehicle.
A dyno tune is much more accurate, however if you don't have a lot of engine mods, it's probably money better spent elsewhere on your truck.
