best performance chip

any one know who makes the best performance uprgade computer for the eec iv with a 460 cid

All the aftermarket chips for the EEC-IV are a waste of time. All they do is basically bump the timing up a little bit. You can do that yourself for free.

Agreed^ there really isn't much that needs to be done with a chip that you can't do with a timing light and maybe some higher octane fuel. One thing that does benefit from aftermarket tuning is the transmission, if yours is an automatic. Changing the lock-up schedules, shift firmness and shift points are noticeable improvements as long as the person doing the programing has a good understanding of electronic transmissions. This can be costly though because to get the transmission dialed in nicely, the tuner will probably need to do a little road tuning.
