Question When to add a Chip

Since i have never really dealt with the on board computers for the cars i was wondering when i would add a chip into the truck.

-Should i add it after an intake, throttle body spacer and exhaust are done

- or can i do it now with only the exhaust

Will the current performance options limit my chip choice?
Thnx for any help

Before or after, it won't matter. None of your changes impact the tuning a chip offers because the MAF and O2 sensors will more than compensate for your changes (they aren't radical enough to change how the computer needs to be programmed). A chip or tuner will certainly help, depending on the vehicle application, but custom programming won't be required.
