So going to install 35x12x18 tires on my truck soon I would like to make the Speedometer\Odometer correct with my new tires/wheels. I was looking at these programmers any good?
Hypertech Max Energy $330
Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator $230
Jet Performance Programmer $300
Any others I should look at?
Thanks
auto enginuity enhanced ford bundle. $360 from clay at RiffRaff diesel. it is without a doubt the best scan tool money can buy.
just load it into a laptop, then plug it into the truck.

So I need a laptop to use it? If so than I need to but a new one because my screen just went out on it a few weeks ago.
I dont think that one from RiffRaff diesel will work since I have a V10.
Also I was looking at the SCT SF3....I was reading the instructions and it says that I cant use it to adjust tire size on a V10?
Is that the same one that 5-Star Tuning sells?
Thanks
Auto enginuity with the enhanced ford bundle will work with any ford vehicle. It is not diesel specific.
I don't know about the 5 star but if you are not looking for a programmer will recommend the AE to correct the spedo as well as be an invaluable trouble shooting tool.
i have used my auto enginuity on 5.4's, 5.8's and 5.0's
so i know they work on gas engines, anything with a OBD II port.
the only thing i am not sure on is if they will do speedo recalibration on the 05 and newer trucks. i would suggest asking clay about that.
The SCT will do the job for you and you can get it at Gearhead Automotive Performance
or any of the other sponsors.
I had a question and the people at SCT had an answer for the
problem I was having. Low power output on the USB port on the computer
switched computers and the problem went away. But you don't need
the computer unless you want to update and save the stock tune.
The people at Gearhead are just as fast in getting back to you.
You might want to wait and see how much the speedo is off I may have a rare case but literally my Speedo with 35x12.5x18 tires is dead on when ever i use my GPs or go by a radar it says exactly what my speedo says. Before with my old tires it always said i was going slow though But it cant hurt to wait and save the money, i bought a programmer and now am in the process of returning it because i have no use for it unless i go bigger (probably not).
