I have an '02 F-250 with the V-10 auto. I recently purchased a superchips 1715 microtuner. I programmed the truck in the performance setting with no problems but, it didn't give me the option of changing the tire or gear size. What gives? I don't know if I have the electronic speedo or not. The odometer is a digital readout so I assume it is a electronic speedometer. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks
I didn't think the 1715 could change for tires and gears with the V10.
You'll have to get a Tru-speed to compensate for those. Alothough a gear swap reprogram can be done by your dealer. And actually so can tires to a certain degree.
So far I'm liking it. I just did the install today. The truck does seem to pull alot harder. I used to be able to just get the 36x16.50 Dick Cepeks to spin {with 3.73's } but not for long. I kinda got on it tonight and it broke them loose and spun them just about until the 1-2 upshift. I was impressed. That's alot of meat back there to spin like that. Now lets see what the new Y-pipe does. I'd really like to do a gear swap to 4.56's but, that's down the road a bit.
