Looking to brighten up my night time driving. Want something really bright. I have a 07 F250 4door 6.0. Question is do I ad lights to my ranch hand ( worried bout looks) or do I update my factory headlight bulbs. Get me some help. Mainly want to see deer etc in hwy
Thanks
Light bars are really popular on the 2011+ trucks, if you could mount that to your grille guard it would definitely be a huge improvement over just the headlights. Pricey, but dam they're bright. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...light-bar.html
I went from factory bulbs to Silverstars. No noticeable difference. Clipping a wire to run the fogs and brights at the same time made more of a difference.
I'd add a bar to the front and mount lights on it. Are you looking for driving lights that you can have on all the time or really bright hi-beams that you can wire into your hi-beam switch (through a separate relay)?
Also, you can swap your regular bulbs to HIDs to give you better light. I don't particularly like these because it makes me think of all the modded ricer cars, but they do give off good light.
This is what I put on my '11 250 gasser. Since I live in deer country I wanted a wide beam setup. They are amazingly bright, and not horribly expensive. If you have upfitter switches they are a breeze to wire.

Where is this wire to "clip". Running both brights and fog is something I would like
Thanks.

Basically the high-beam indicator lamp on the dashboard doubles as a trigger that kills the fog relay. You're interrupting that signal, so the fogs are never shut down. So it's harmless, you aren't messing with any programming issues. I've run my truck this way since it was almost new.
I wired mine independently, and hooked them up to an upfitter switch. That way I didn't have to worry about tapping into my factory wiring harness. They will cast light well beyond my high beams and they will cover a two lane road from side to side plus some.

Thanks a ton. This will be my next weekend project.
