What in the world are you trying to accomplish?

It sounds like you're trying to mount the lights as though they were sideview mirrors, sticking out from the side of your brushguard like ears. Surely not...

If your brush guard has the metal mesh, then Ranch Hand sells light brackets for that. Otherwise they should generally be mounted either up or down through a light tab or maybe tube clamps like these. See how bikerman2299 did his? And then see the Ridgeline for an example of them mounted upside down (must modify the light as per PIAA instructions before you do that).

Can these lights be wired into my high beams. So I will not have to flip a dash switch when I want these on / off ?
Any lights can, yes, though just a heads-up that may not be technically legal depending on your state/country, not that anyone generally notices since you shouldn't be high-beam flashing cops anyway There are lots of ways to trigger them, but basically you need to use a wire that's hot only when the high beams are on as the switching source for your relay (NOT to power the lights directly).

I looked at the wiring diagram , what is the reason for the relay. Wire heat or something?
Imagine trying to run a series of arc welders through a household extension cord, and how quickly that extension cord would burst into flame. Relays aren't hard, just have to take a shot and do it once or twice to figure it out. It allows you to run nice, clean power directly from your battery over proper gauge wire dedicated to that function. The cool part is the PIAA harness makes it dead simple...

Go to Jegs and search "PIAA 5216". And click on the light and then click on quick view. This light throws two patterns of beam light. Must not be the one your talking about. That is what had me asking the earlier type of beam question.
No, it's a generic illustration giving a generalized overview of the difference between a normal "fog light" pattern and a "driving light" pattern. The PIAA lights I linked you to are "ATP" lights which PIAA uses to mean "All Terrain Pattern" ...see the PIAA tech page for pattern illustrations:

The Amazon page I linked him to originally is a single light, intended to be a "replacement" in case a light is damaged or stolen, but the whole kit is available, too.

That's a pretty neat idea. Definitely post pics of the results when you're done!

I saw this setup on an F-350 earlier today when I was on the road. Billet grille with circular cutouts with PIAA lights. Looked great!

Pics please. I would really like to see what you did here. Did you just get one of the cheaper hid bulb kits and put it right in the ff700 housing?

Thanks for the info

It's just that one makes top notch products and the other can be found on the shelves in Walmart and Autozone. And at only $114 per 520 ATP Extreme, that's a great deal for a fantastic light.
Also, How do the hella lights stack up against the piaa? I know the hellas can be had a bit cheaper. I guess I am just used to them, coming from more of a euro market myself.

I picked up these 8" bosch lights that I am currently doing nothing with. I just need the time or energy to make the project happen. I 1/2 heartedly put them up for sale as I could use the money towards a tune. These were made for using on big tractors out in the fields I believe. I will have to look into the beam pattern again. Honestly I'm a little scared that I will get pissed at all the idiots out here that forget to turn off their highbeams and shower them with so much light that I send them off the road.

I loved the piaa 520's and started to get those for the 250, glad I held off now it's the led bar for the 350

for those that need a front plate... I just placed mine between the bars so it showed out front.... Legal ? dunno - but never got stopped in 3 or 4 years before I traded...
https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=25205&width=0

but I've eyed those led bars too... the step son has the front of his raptor draped in the rigid bar and double spots where his fogs would be.... the oncoming traffic BEST not flash him, or he might then turn on his LIGHTS !

now - how do I mount them without detracting from the nice Platinum grill ?
maybe below the bottom grill member ?
and put some rope lights behid the chromed crosshatched grill members?

I have 4 KC Daylighters on mine. The two outer ones are wide beam and the two center are long range. They are wired to upfitters one and two. Makes flipping them off and on very easy and they are very bright.

LMAO. Side mirrors. Was thinking drilling holes in the upright supports BUT not no more lol. Like the tube brackets u posted.

How can I post a pic of my ranch hand for input on placement.

Also do I aim these lights 1 1/2" low from center of beam at 25' away, like they recommend ????. Or what will give me the best outcome ?
I'm gonna use two of the PIAA's u recommend

There's not much beating PIAA lights, KC daylighters, and a few others. If anyone needs a cheap solution to some extra light, I found these cheap lights that I used for a little while without any issues:
Navigator NV-1204 Navigator NV-1204" x 6" Clear Fog Light with Stone Guard and Cover : Amazon.com : Automotive
They say fog lights, but they're definitely not. They did wonders over my factory high-beams on my '88 F-350 (that's not saying tons), and were a cheap option until I could afford better lights. I'll probably still use them for years on other equipment.

Ill set a reminder to post up pics of the bulbs later because im at work but yes i took the Hella 700FF lights and put some DDMTuning HID's in them I basically super glued the bulb to the housing then bent the metal tabs to hold it in place. I then siliconed the hole, and drilled a hold in the rear of the plastic housing so the HID grommet could fit through. Kinda hard to explain ill post up my pics later Also if anyone has any instructions on installing 05 upfitters in a pre 05 truck it would be greatly appreciated i know the wiring stuff but not the fuse locations...

I have KC lights on my truck in Stainless Steel. But thinking about changing the whole front of my truck.
Middle are KC 130 Watt Driving Lights and the outer are KC 130 Watt Long Range.

Hella 700FF HID Conversion

Sorry for the kinda crappy pics, but here are the pics of the HID's in my Hella 700FF lights. I have 2 in 6000k and two in 3000k.

Here is a pic of the Bulb inside the light housing. I took these ones with a 3000k light.

I secured the bulb by using super glue and bending the tabs that hold the H3 bulb out. This allowed the bulb would sit in the opening then i bent the tabs back so that they would hold the bulb in place while the glue dried. After the glue dried i filled the surrounding area with silicone and used the plastic washer that holds the HID bulb in its case to press it down and fill in the gaps (also makes it look prettier lol).

I then drilled a hold in the middle of the outer plastic housing that the light itself mounts too. Honestly forget the size right now but i believe it is a 1" hole, i will check this once i find a ruler.

Here is the finished product after the light has been seated back in its plastic outer housing and the grommet has been put in. i plan to drill 4 holes in the header panel to mount these and i will mount the ballasts probably on the back side of the panel or bottom not quite sure yet.

Maybe put the light bar in the front bumper where the front plate goes and get one of these (Hidden License plate, Powered license plate, HIDETHEPLATE, hide the plate) to use when you see a cop...im thinking about it

Trying to install the factory fog lights with factory headlight switch with pull for fogs. Do I need a different fuse box? I used the factory wiring at the fog light openings, installed the factory headlight switch, but when I pull for the fogs nothing happens. At the moment, I have a toggle switch running the fog lights. I'd rather have the factory set up.
Any help is appreciated.
Sorry to hijack the thread. Just frustrated here.
It's a 2010 F-350 Utility body Gasser.
