Alright guys, I need some help. My brother wrecked his truck a few months ago. He rolled his 02' F-350 flatbed 7.3 dually crew cab lariat 4x4, and its totaled. The motor is worn out, and the cab is crushed. Now I have a rare opportunity because of this. I have a 97' F-250 single cab 7.3 4x4 with a flatbed and I have been thinking about converting it to straight axle in the front for a while. Now, I want to take both his axles, and throw them under my truck. I wanted to know if his 02' F-350 axles will bolt right onto my spring mounts, or what I might need to do to make it fit, and also what your guys' thoughts are on this. I am regularly hauling heavy trailers, and heavy loads in my bed, and a dually would really give me some stability and capacity. Give it a thought, thanks DRD!
Edit: spelling
this is the truck i want to convert to a dually: My truck - Imgur dont have any pics of my brothers flatbed.
Just measure them.
There's a lot more to getting them to fit than just spring perches.
Search the forum. This has been asked and gone over many times.
Wheel bolt pattern is different as well.
