Dave my wife wanted me to post a message from her to you:

She hopes you can make it to WI if we hold a meet here. She said something about she knows a few good places on the farm she'd like to introduce you to. Something about no one being able to find you

She also said if you're looking for something to hang from she has a few big Oak trees on the farm. She must be planning a Mexican theme, she said something about using you to help with a piñata, or using you as a piñata?

See what happens when you leave at a reasonable time? And there was no alcohol involved.

Dave, it was upstairs in the building where we ate, one big room with a spring board, trapeze, mats and all of Robs childhood toys, didn't you hear the kids riding his antique peddle tractor around up there, kids had a ball up there.

Gary, I remember hearing the kids playing up there. I also remember seeing you sticking your head out the window. I think you might have been having as much fun riding that pedal tractor as the kids were.

For any on you who haven't met Gary he's a little kid magnet, in a good way. You can see he really enjoys having the little ones around him as much as they like being around him.

Bob, thanks for re-posting that video. I can't quit watching it!

Dave, I'm glad you didn't take a swim in the old cistern as you and the others that worked on my truck gave me one of the best gifts I've ever received! Maybe you should find something of Bob's to work on right away at the Dairyland Drive-In next Spring to help keep you safe!

Don't for get about the fuel pump. That'll make the ole gas can in the passenger window obsolete & much safer

Speaking of safety, it'll really be better when those brakes are fixed.

Neither are that time consuming or expensive.

Enjoy!!!!

BJ, we ordered an electric fuel pump. Any tips/tricks I need to be aware of to get that installed? (other than inviting all of you over this weekend)

My thoughts for future work on the truck are brakes, finish wiring and doing the interior cab. I've got guages, the floor mat and the orignal seat which needs to be recovered. I also need to decide if my gas tank will work. I'm leaning toward buying a replacement. I've also got the wood to do the rack for the stakebed. Hopefully that will be a Winter project.

Great Rob. Just make sure you install the pump with the flow arrow pointing toward the carb, make sure it's got a good ground and wire it so when the key is on it gets juice to the pump, maybe at the solenoid. Don't wire it to the starter solenoid terminal that only has juice when the key is turned to start.

Then check for fuel leaks with the system on and under pressure.

Now you can enjoy more of those barnyard drives

Will this thread ever die?!!!

Just wanted to try to get some information to one of the attendees. I don't remember his name but he had the flat black '51-52 with the door lettering. When I was checking his truck out he had to hold his hood open with a stick because his hinge springs were bad. He said he didn't know where to find new ones. I don't know if the normal vendors sell them but there's some list on eBay, the seller says he has 12 new springs availlable for $5 apiece. He's got a Ford part number in his picture so they must be reproduced.
