If they fit a windsor in a truck between 80 and 97, id say so.
I'm not sure what they fit. If I remember right they were on a 302 I don't even remember where I got them. I have had them for a quite a while. I remember the guy saying they were on a 302 but thats about it. 302 headers will fit a 351w right? I think he said they were for a pickup.
From looking at pictures I dont think they will fit. looks like they are for a 60s or 70s mustang or a 66,67,68,69 Ford Fairlane Torino. They look like these.
these are off a 1968 Torino.
mine
seem to look alot alike.
I am a little late to the party, but heres my 2 cents
The HD "y pipe" is a completely different animal than what came under the 1/2 tons. You really should have no flow problems reusing it.
Get the summit brand shorty headers for the 351w in a half ton. The reason they dont list as working on the 3/4 or 1 tons is because of their emissions setup. the HD trucks have air injection into the exhaust manifolds, whereas the 1/2 tons inject it into the heads i believe. New headers dont have the holes for the emissions, therefor they cannot say they fit that truck. BUT they DO, and they WILL bolt right up to your engine and your stock y pipe. You will have to lose the emissions setup though
As far as mufflers I personally LOVE the sound of the Cherry Bomb Extreme single chamber mufflers. I have LT headers, true duals, and these mufflers on my F250 351W, and its like truck **** for my ears lol.
I ordered them they will be here Tuesday. I will let you know how they fit. I think I'm gonna go with the cherry bomb mufflers.
The cherry bombs sound good for sure.
I'm going to let you know this before you start taking stuff apart, soak all the bolts/studs with PB Blaster now if you haven't already. It'll make taking the bolts out much easier. You also need to save a stud to hold your engine oil dipstick in place.
Give L&L headers out of Texas a look. They made their name on quality headers, and when you buy headers, IMO you are doubling you price not getting the best since you may have to re-do it and for the problems inferior headers produce. Extra thick flanges so no leakage and custom fit to your vehicle, spendy but well worth it. I put their set on my 97 F350 460 ci and then added a true dual exhaust, into one extra large quiet muffler, then dualed back out to the rear. All I can say is INCREDIBLE performance gain. All amazingly quiet. The first time I punched it after the install, I thought I broke my rear axle due to the axle wrap it produced. Check their real world dyno results out on their website;
I have a 96 f250 with the 460 and want what you have!! Did you get a y pipe built or buy one? What size pipes are you running to your muffler and what kind of muffler have you got? thanks!!
How do you guys installing headers get away with ditching the emissions controls especially for the F250 with air injection into the manifolds? How do you get the thing to pass smog inspection?

A lot of places don't have any kind of emissions inspection. A lot of the places that do have emissions testing also have a limit to where something that's say 20, 25, or 30 years old is exempt from emissions testing.
I run long tubes, and dual straight pipes through mufflers because my truck doesn't require emissions testing where I am. Heck, I'm running an engine that's 15 years older than the truck too.
