Hey I'm new and thought maybe this would be a good place to ask for help. I have a 94 f250 with a 460 engine. Every so ofton about every 7-9 times I get in the truck the dang anti theft goes off, lights and horn. The only way to get it to stop is disconnect the battery. The ing is a little loose, meaning that you can pull the key, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Is there something in the door on the lock that says ok he used a key don't go off. I'm at a loss here with this thing. I'd like to disconnect it if possible. I have no manual for the truck. Any help would be appreciated.
If you have antitheft there is a good chance you have factory remote locks. And will be able o program a remote for it. To tell if you do the plastic piece with the cubby in it just below the steering wheel. If you pull that pannel off right behind the cubby there thouls be a box that will say keyless something or other lol.
I know my antitheft plays games with me. I try to make it go off on purpose an cant get it but when I don have my keys in hand it seems to go off lol.
Starting the truck with the key or even turning the ignition to the on position should turn off the alarm.
Mine won't turn off if you put the key in, I've tried numerous times. It just continues to go off.
I pulled the door panel off and found a switch type thing hanging down, the tab that holds its on was broke. I think it went on the door lock assembly. I just unplugged it and hope that fixes it, mine won't go off if I try either, only a the most inconvinant time. Lol
