Cruise control not working

There are two sections in that switch.
One is for the starting circuit, the other is for the cruise control.
The wires for cruise are Tan/LtBlu and Red/Yel
FOUR wires coming off that switch, and it's conceivable that one section is bad or mis-adjusted.
I'd look at mis-adjusted first. They can "slip".

I have a six speed & when my VSS on the rear end needed replacing, my cruise control didn't work. It was ok when I installed the new vss I got from one of our sponsors www.Rock Auto.com 1999 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY Vehicle Speed Sensor

A bad VSS will also give other indications, however, and the O/P doesn't tell us of any of those.
In this case, the other symptom would be an erratic speedometer.
If it were an automatic, there would be two more symptoms, but it isn't, so I won't confuse the issue with them.
We still don't know the results of his "third brake light" test, BTW. Stayin' with the simple stuff........

Your brake system's "master cylinder". It's attached to the hydroboost unit. It's under the hood.
We'll talk you through this after you get the truck back and can run some tests to resolve this.

I went out to look at my pickup and found that my third brake light isn't coming on. It's still snowing so I haven't had an opportunity to delve into it. Do I just need to replace the bulb or is there a fuse that may need replacing? Thanks for the help!

I would say its just the bulb. There is just 2 Philips head screws that hold the lens assembly on just remove them and give a quarter turn twist to remove the bulb harness if its black foggy looking its burnt out.
