'72 460 distributer

What is the best way to break my distributer loose on my 460. It's timed to 4 degrees and I need to advance it to around twelve. Any ideas that don't involve breaking it?

Bring the engine up to operating temp, remove hold down clamp and saturate base with PB Blaster, let soak in then "tap" around the base with a blunt object and hammer, repeat as often as needed, it will eventually free up.

The distributor on my '73 460 was stuck at one point too. I sprayed it with penetrating oil, and got it loose with a big pair of vice grips the next day. I put some rubber hose on the vice grips to keep them from marking up the distributor. After that, I was able to turn it easily by hand.
