460 eng. question

460 eng. question
I have a early model rebuilt 460 carb. engine. With a RV cam. and a stock distributor. I have a chance to buy a slightly used MSD pro-billet distributor,
for $ 75.00. Its like 250 dollars new from Summit. But it came out of a 351 cleveland motor in a stang. Not a 460.The guy said it would work in a 460. I have no idea if it will. Or what needs to be done so it will work in the 460. Like does the distributor cam gear need to be changed out or anything ? Have any of you done this distributor swap ?
