Victory is mine! Thanks for the tips, especially the diagram. Found a broken wire between the alternator and the starter solenoid, hidden in a wad of tape and wires. spliced it back together and it fixed all of my problems.

Could that have been the fusible link?

Nah, it was the wire coming from the alternator to the battery. It had been repaired and the splice had came apart inside the tape. I was tracing all of the alternator wires to ensure they were correctly routed and had to unwrap a massive wad of tape to continue following a wire and found the break. I guess that one broken wire had broken the entire circuit, I had no power to anything and the key switch wouldn't work, had to use a jumper wire to start it but now everything is working as intended. The wiring in the engine compartment is such a rat's nest though, I'm still thinking about getting a new universal harness and all new plugs. Depends on whether or not I ever decide to do a full-on rebuild later on down the road.
