Alternator wiring
Three connections are on a half-circle looking plug on the top of the alternator. On the alternator they are marked I,S,A. The fourth wire is a large stud that is on the back of the alternator.
The connector for the 3 terminal plug is actually part of the alternator, it does not unbolt.
I have been told that it is a an internally regulated alternator, and that I should connect the stud to the + of the battery, and the S to this stud. But I am unsure.
I do not have an idiot light. The guage I am usiing is just an in line voltage guage and is not connected to the alternator.
How should I wire this up?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
