Wiring for Alternator
My sons wiring on his 76 F250 burned thrugh the wires coming from the alternator to the starter relay...there's a fuseable link and all, but I don't know how to re-wire the new alternator up to the relay (battery). There seems to be two wires and since we have to make them I was wondering if some one could tell me where the two wires go and where do they come from... some what vauge I know but it's the best I can do at this time..

i would suggest getting a 1 wire alternator . you can get them from summit racing or jegs. they only require 1 wire to the battery. i have one in my 74 f-100 because my wiring was old and brittle. they work great, not a problem with it yet, 4 years later. that imho would be the easiest way to fix the problem.
