The speakers are 6x8. Pioneer and others makes several speakers that are a direct fit. The door panel comes off pretty easily. Crutchfield will provide the directions plus wireing harnesses free with purchase.

Speakers???
Go one step farther - I squeezed a Polk 5.25" Mid-driver, and a 3.5" (with a stacked 1") Infinity Driver in my front doors....this was a Component setup by Polk, but I swapped for larger tweets.......want to talk about sweet 
I filled the extra space between the speakers with ABS plastic, and coated the whole door in dynomat.....too three hours for the fronts. Those are run off the JVC deck right now, and the Polk DX 12" sub is run off a Planet Audio amp.......more improvements are to come
