I know the gotts mod is the best for our trucks and I've been doing my research on the subject. My new truck already has a nice drop in filter in it. I believe it's a K&N. Anyways I know most of the aftermarket intakes delete that whole set up and go with a cone filter. Is there just an adapter I can get for the weird oval shape that goes into the circular tubing and into the gotts mod? I hate how the OEM intake tubing is so flat and it just looks bad in my opinion..
Any ideas? I've checked ebay and haven't found much. And everyone knows if it's not on ebay there probably is no such thing lol.
There are two companies that I know of that make a full intake, filter, etc that actually pull cold air through the fender vent.
AFE makes one, and so does S&B, in fact Mike Butler at 5 Star sells the S&B along with a matched SCT Tune for our trucks: S&B intake for 2005-2008 F150 5.4L - 5 Star Tuning
That's just the intake, in a nice poly box with two inlets that actually pull cool ambient air. His tunes are an additional fee of around $400 for the programmer with 3 tunes.
i just made a cai with some aluminum sheeting for the air box and abs pipe for everything else. got the same result as buying it i just copied the design of the k&N.
