cold air intake
i have a 03 f150 with the 5.4 v8 and was wondering if there was any good aftermarket cold air intakes other than k&n. i was looking to help out the little guy but i couldnt find anything that didnt look like a air intake for a civic or something . i would like to have something mean looking no crome. black or grey. and max hp. thanks for the help.

Let me be the first to welcome you to FTE. We have a great group of people here and a wealth of information. You might try the search feature and look for intake. I imagine you will get a boatload of responses.
With that said, I have an Air Force One on my truck. There are plenty of good aftermatker intakes out there, but you could just buy a cheap one with a good filter, it will acomplish the same thing.

Basically pipe is pipe it is all in the filter so what a lot of people on the Accord site I visit do is buy the cheapest ones they can get off eBay then replace the filter with a K&N filter and bam they have the same preformance gains the would see with a K&N intake. Some of them have painted it black which you could do also.
