Good deal on the pickup foot. I had an extra four feet of hose as well. Yes, I ran it from the filter to the pump. Double clamp on the pump after you force it over the little ridge on the pump inlet. Fill the filter with diesel prior to install if you can. It will greatly speed up the priming process.
