4R70W Interchangeability?
I have a 2000 4.2l 4x2 f150 that has trouble going into first gear. I found what I think might be a donor trans for it but I want to be sure before I drop the cash. The vehicle is a Grand Marquis with the 4.6l. I've read (I think on TCCoA) that the the motor has to be from a 3.8/4.2/5.0 but I'm not sure if that's cougar specific information. I do know that there are two different starter bolt patterns for the 4R70W but not sure if/how that applies to me. <br />
