On my 95 F150 the windshield washer does not work. The bottle is full, I checked the connection at the pump & cleaned &di-electric greased the connection. When I push in on the switch to activate the washers I hear a click coming from behind the glove box.
Any suggestions or ideas where to go from here??
Thanks Craig
Un-plug the connector to the pump & make sure you have power there when you push the button. If so, and the pump isn't running, replace the pump. If the pump is running, you probably have a plugged line, or plugged squirters. It doesn't take much to plug up the squirters...
I had this issue as well. My pump was good and there was power at the connector. There just wasn't a strong connection. Cleaned out the corrosion in the plug and made sure it was on tight and haven't had a problem with it in 6 months.

Evan,
I did as you said in the other post & all I hear is a clicking from behind the glove box. What component is behind the glove box that is tied into the washer circuit?
Thanks,
Craig
What your hearing is probably the wiper control module.
Evan,
Do you know which of the two wires to the pump are suppose to be hot & is the other a ground?
I'll get out my tester just curious if one is hot all the time or only when you push the switch. Is the other a ground?
Thanks,
Craig
hook your test light to ground, and probe one terminal. if it gets no power when the button is pushed, that is the ground. just probe the other terminal.
my guess is the pump is bad.

Thanks Tom,
I hate to probe around these computer vehicles with out having kind of an idea of what is what. I had a 93 Lumina once & I started probing around the A/C & the next thing I know my idle went to like 2000 rpms I thought what the ----. Thankfully I was close to a friend that was a vehicle commuter mechanic for a City Police dept & I called him & I had blown a fuse. So since then I'm cautious.
