The windshield washer/sprayer on my Bronco has never worked and I was wondering how to go about fixing it. It isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to have if it was an easy fix. Thanks.
I'd start by checking for power at the washer pump - remove the two pin connector at the pump, and use a testlight or voltmeter to test for power while someone manipulates the washer switch. Ignition should be on to supply power. If you have 12v at the connector, the pump is probably bad. If you can hear the pump running with the connector snapped into place, the washer line may not be connected. If it's unhooked at the squirter, you have to partially remove the cowl to get a hand in there and reattach it. I found that unplugging and reconnecting the lead at the pump was enough to get mine going again.
I have learned (frome experience) that the 2 wires that goes to the connector at the pump sometimes break where they enter the connector. You may have to get a new connector with the wires attached and cut the old one off. Best place to get one would be a junkyard. Good luck.

P.S. I have had this exact same problem on 3 different trucks.
mine never worked well either. It always clogged for some reason, so I made a new washer set up with a universal pump and cheap reservoir from Kragen or something. works well now
If you can hear the pump whine when you push the button the the spray nozzle is probably clogged. Mine seems to clog every 3 months or so. Pop the nozzle off and let it sit in some soapy water. The I take the air compressor and blow air through it to unclog it. Hope this helps a little!
