1970 F100 is getting a 351W with serpentine belt. I've been looking but haven't found a molded upper radiator hose that will fit. The serpentine belt requires either a 45* or 90* bend up in the thermostat housing to clear the serpentine belt. Radiator inlet is 1.75". Current thermostat housing has a 1.5" nipple with 45* bend but I'd change to the housing to whatever will work.
I'm guessing the problem is by the time serpentine belts were used, so were cross-flow radiators with the inlet too far over.
REALLY prefer a molded hose, not a flexible hose.
Has anyone found a molded hose to fit that kind of setup? Any ideas?
IIRC, EFI 302s and 351Ws use a 90° elbow at the manifold. Perhaps a JY hunt for one off an 80s or 90s Bronco is in your future. They might be good donors for a hose too... bend up a coat hanger and take it with you to the yard to see if there are any candidates.

The '95 351W/5.8L thermostat housing had a 45* elbow, which is on the engine now. I also have an aftermarket 90* housing (but not the tandem oring needed to seal the bypass) so I can bend wires to show the shape of both housings. I'll check the junk yards but don't recall any Broncos in them. The search of Summit radiator hoses included Bronco hoses but I didn't see any that looked right.
BTW, Summit listing of radiator hoses is a good place to look for odd ball hoses since they show a picture of (most of) the hoses and list the sizes of the hose ends and the overall lengths.
Thanks for the suggestions. Hope I don't have to use for a flex hose.
Take some measurements and go to your local Napa. They have the hoses hanging on the wall, you can see what will work for you. I found a hose to use on my diesel conversion that way.

The hose on this '70 F350 390 (picture from car hauler posted today) looks like it would work if a sbf thermostat housing could be found with the nipple at that angle. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/SC0513...3-153108_6.jpg?
The nipple would have to be over one of the bolts. Haven't found any yet except, I guess, the pricey swivel billet housings. If the junk yard and auto parts store searches don't pan out maybe I'll have to spring for a swivel housing. Or, if I have to spend that much, maybe a flexible stainless hose.
