OD LIGHT FLASH BOGG DOWN
First of hello to all of you im new to the forum. I have a 01 7.3 f250 power stroke (at work or i would post some pictures) it does have alot of lift and bigger tires etc etc, Im having an issue with my od light flashing when I come to a stop. Not only does it flash but the truck also wants to stay in fourth i exhausted everything i thought it would be, after replacing the batteries it stopped then a few weeks later started again. I thought for sure it was my tranny so I took it to a local amaco tranny shop and they told me it was the ALT which I replaaced and it stopped for about a week now back at it batteries and ALT are good and the shop said the VSS were fine. Does any one have any suggestions im at the end of my witts with this thing...

When the OD light flashes it means a code was stored. That will tell you where to start looking. Without the code all you can do is keep buying parts until you get lucky or run out of money.

Thanks man yea the shop i took it to had a bad *** scan tool hooked up to it showed everything the truck was doing but idk they7 never said it was anything but the alt and now thats replaced it started again guess ill just have to go back in there...
