Dies at idle...

Good morning.
I have had my 06 6.0 for a few months now. I was having a long start issue from day one. I have installed a new FICM, EGR delete, new STC fitting, new stand pipes and dp's. Dummy plugs finally fixed the long start. I have drove it about 2 hours since the EGR delete and HPOP fittings upgrade. It has died on me twice, but only does it when i let off the fuel to stop.
Any ideas what could be causing this issue?

Get the codes read if you can. Also, you might want to monitor the fuel pressure. There is a test port at the base of the secondary fuel filter.

It has 3 codes on it when i checked it the first time it died.

It sounds like it runs out of fuel and when i try to start it back it takes a few cranks to get it going. Like it had ran out of fuel.

order the 6.0 adapter for the fuel port and either rent or buy the fuel pressure gauge. Mine was running out of fuel. my injectors were actually drawing the fuel from the tank. It had 10 psi cranking.

I have cracked the fuel line coming in to the secondary filter and it seems to have plenty of pressure.
It does not run out of fuel when you have it at WOT, the only times it has done it is when you let off the fuel to stop.
Last night i moved the wiring around while it was running and it didn't do anything but set there and run like it is supposed to.

ryhed gave you good advice and a good reason why to take it. No one can crack a fuel line and tell if it is 30 psi or 50 psi. You can tell a lot from actual numbers. Best of luck.

You know the saying" you learn something new every day" well.....
My truck was low of oil. Yep, thats right. LOL
I had drained some when i was working on it and it was still showing 1/4 way on the dipstick so i never thought about it. I discovered it would die going down a steep grade or when i stopped hard.
Anyway, Filled her to the top and all is good!!

No kidding. I've had several cummins and D max trucks and they were not that sensitive to the oil level. Luckily it doesn't go through any oil to Speke of.
