Got rid of that wheel hop over large bumps, and takes the other bumps much more confidently. I put the Bilsteins on my 07, and I really liked them, but decided to go with the Rancho adjustables this time. I pull a 12k 5er, and really like how that feels with the fronts on 6 and the backs on 4. Overall, I love them, but there are two things I dont like.
1. The adjusting is a pain, and I am not ever totally sure I got the number I want on the setting. Based on the instructions online, I turn all the way to the left and feel the clicks as I turn it to the right, then check the #. It seems to work.
2. If you are anything like me and overanalyze everything, stay away from the adjustable. Sometimes it is just better to put the shocks on the truck and go with what you got. Now I go over every bump and wonder if I should go up or down on the settings.....keeps my mind busy...but....
1) All the way to the left is one, should get firmer as you turn clockwise.
2) My boss had our RS7000MT monotube on his truck, but he pulls a heavy enclosed trailer with a lot of weight and ULTRA4 race car. He went back because he could crank the rear up to 9 to firm it up.

Always cool hearing the compare/contrast too.

I put on the wireless adjustment kit for this very set of issues.

the adjuster pushes on a button on the shock, counter clockwise is less, clockwise is more.

the auto adjuster has you remove the manual adjuster and install the air controllers. hardest part is hanging the little airpump and controller.

Give Rancho a call, that **** adjustment section is replaceable. Not sure if it's a warranty item at no charge or not however.

Talking

Our tech line # is 734-384-7804.
They are good at getting ***** out.
I suggest turning that **** once a season.
Also depending on where you live, I suggest any and all shocks get hit with a clear coat of paint. Road salt, mag chloride etc not only do a number on the shock body, but your vehicle.

anybody had a set of Rancho's wear out? I am fighting what feels like no shocks on my dually, but I have the 9000xl adjustables.

I did have the wireless one remote controller, but the compressor failed and there is no replacement part. I think we drove over 4000 miles with them set at 0 (effectively), and this is about when we noticed the bounce..
I had the FE trailers balanced, no improvement. I had the dually front tires balanced and the balance beads removed and its 50% better. but still present.

its not side to side, so I don't think its steering damper.

big tow coming up in july to the G2G.. and want this to be gone before then..

sent a note to rancho support.. we'll see what they say..

So the lines are still attached to the shocks?
How many miles on them total?

Does it feel different when you adjust them?
I know having the fronts all the way to 9 is the firmest, have you cranked it back to 1 to see what the ride is like?
