22,000 miles on mine and it feels like the stock shocks are finished. I'd like to give the 9000XL's a shot, but I'll be darned if I can figure out the correct part numbers to order. I don't trust the phone jockeys. Would rather see it in a catalog, printed or online. I know someone posted them for an F250, but I think the rear numbers would be different for an F350. I could be wrong.

Amazon allows you to type in your truck type (F250/F350) plus other information to insure that you are ordering the correct shock.

Thanks, but I've tried that.

Amazon shows 4 RS9000XL part numbers for my truck: RS999042 and RS999044 for the fronts, and RS999254 and RS999261 for the rears. Which part numbers are the correct ones?

Was there a video on FTE on replacing the front shocks? Any tricks on getting the top nut off?

I installed RS999047 for the rear shocks and RS999042 for the fronts late last year; part numbers were supplied by truckaddons (where I got mine) and they installed perfectly. Part numbers were on the invoice and box. My truck is a F350 CC SB with no lift. Call truckaddons and they should be able to tell you (even if you don't order from them).

36k on them an no issues.

According to the Rancho web site an F250 and F350 take the same part numbers. The part numbers for my truck are RS 999042 for the front and RS 999254 for the rear. Go to this web page to see part numbers: Rancho Suspension: Suspension » 2011 - 2013 F250 / F350 Super Duty 4WD Suspension Systems, Lift Kits, Leveling Systems & Shocks. My truck is a 2012 f350 4x4 , stock height.

Rancho gets an F for their website. There's another section on their website that doesn't show the same thing. In fact, if you use this link, you can't even get a 2012 Ford to show up in the drop down menu: Rancho Suspension: Shocks » RS9000XL™

I had the same issue when I was trying to figure out part numbers and after someone posted petty much what you did, I called truckaddons to confirm the part numbers that I installed were correct (which they did confirm) and then I called Rancho; they told me the RS999254 was for dual rear wheels. When you go to the page you show, it does indeed call out for the RS999254 but it doesn't say anything about the PN being for a dualie one way or another. Call Rancho to confirm. I did not install the RS999254 on my truck per Rancho.

Well just ordered them. Got them from Summit. They price matched TruckAddOns price of $324.95 with free shipping and no tax. Shipping out today. Amazon price keeps going up each day.

I did confirm with the Rancho rep on here and on the phone with Rancho that a stock F-250 uses RS999042xl for the front and RS999254xl for the rear. They said you could use the 047's for the rear but they are usually used on the F-350 because they are slightly longer.

Thanks to 2addy, I called Rancho today before buying shocks for my F350. Rancho told me to get the RS999042 for the front and RS999047 for the rear. I asked why their website said to buy RS999254 for the rear and I did not get much of a response.

Shocks shipped the same day from Summit and showed up UPS the next day. Great service so far from them. Of course I am out of town for another week so I can't get them on.

Ya, the Rancho website is quite lacking. I got the fronts from Amazon and the rears directly from Truckaddons.com. Easy install and I like the ride alot better. BTW...got mine last October during the "Shocktober" promotion and sent in the rebate in mid November. I literally got my rebate check yesterday.
