So I bought the above speakers two sets front and back.I currently have separate tweeters in the stock speakers front and back.Question is since these are two ways with I imagine much better tweeters that are pivotable, can I still piggyback the stock tweeters off my new speakers or just dont bother since the stock tweeters are prolly crap anyways? Hope this makes sense. Thanks

The stock tweeters are going to sound like crap compared to the infinity's. I'd leave them out and your ears will likely thank you.
everyone complains about the speakers in these trucks. i find myself always questioning why? i think they sound great if theyre adjusted properly. i have nothing bad to say about them

That's great! Just do yourself a favor and never listen to a truck that has improved components. Once you do, you will be kicking yourself.
The stock systems do sound alot better than they did 10 or 15 years ago but, they still pale in comparison to aftermarket JL, Infinity, or higher end JBL, Pioneer and Kenwood equipment. I've run Infinity speakers in several cars and the tweeters tend to be a little bright, so I suggest going -3db on all of them (if adjustable) to start...and definitely dump the stock tweeters. You'd have way too much high end that would be difficult to control without a decent headunit with controllable crossover points.
How many speakers does the 13 Platinum CC have? I can see two speakers in the front door plus two tweeters as well as a center speaker in the middle of the dash. I can see one tweeter in each of the rear doors but don't see a larger speaker as found in the front doors. Is this the case?
Should be 9 plus the added center speaker. I haven't seen the interior but I'm assuming it's the same as previous years, the rear 5x7's are in the rear pillar next to/behind the seats.

2000silverbullet - thanks for the info. I found the rear speakers. I'm thinking a speaker upgrade isn't far off. The stock system isn't bad sounding but could be really nice with better speakers.

Cheers, Doug
I finished my upgrade with the speakers noted in the title. No comparison to the stock speakers. But of course I had to take it a step farther and replaced the subwoofer and put in a amplifier for all speakers and a new navigation head unit. One thing leads to another.A big snowball effect. But sounds great.Just the speaker upgrade was great.
