You guys are awesome this is why I love these forums!!...and o'l number dummy is a wealth of knowledge being a Ford parts man for decades, he was doing this when these trucks were new

let me bump another idea off of you guys.....how hard would it be to unbolt the 3 spd off of the bell housing and go back with an np 435 or something similar? it would be nice to have a lower 1st gear and it may be the all around cheaper route
