Doesnt go Forward
I have a 1996 Ranger I recently acquired that does not go forward when put into a forward gear. It'll go all day in reverse, soon as she goes into D, 2 or 1 its done. It has a 3.0 and is 2WD. I'm not sure which automatic it has, I assume a 4spd. Is there a soleniod or something simple I can test. I hooked up my OBD II reader and it doesnt give any codes. The OD light goes on and off when I hit the button.

Per the first link above, I'd say your forward drum is probably shot.
