Adding new amp for sub,question

I havent looked too hard yet but from taking a quick peek I am not seeing anything obvious to run my amp 4 guage wire through the firewall on passenger side to battery.Those with after market amps,where did you go through the firewall?Thanks all.

I went thru the same hole as the steering rod. There's a large rubber grommet around the steering post, I just poked through the side of it with a knife then ran my big power wire thru it. The amp power wire then runs along the channel at the bottom of the door frame to the rear underseat. Pretty easy.

FYI, the AMP wiring kits I have purchased came with their own grommet so you just drill a new hole in the firewall. That is what I have always done.

Steering rod grommet here as well. Poked a Phillips head screwdriver through it so the wire was tight when I pushed it through and all is good. Not a fan of drilling new holes if not absolutely needed. Not a big deal either way.
