Hey guys i am stuck with a beauty 66 f100 and just got the shop manual. Problem is for the moment the hurst 3speed mastershift can't be put on since I can't find the correct installation kit.
I replaced one of the cheap shifters with a master shifter a few years ago. I used the same mounting bracket and arms that came on the cheap shifter and they worked good. May need to replace the shifter arm bushings to make sure it is tight. I don't think I hand to drill any new holes to mount the shifter, but it was a while back.
agreed- i think you can likely just bolt it to your old shifter brackets.
i can't imagine why they no longer make the Ford truck install kits. a full shifter kit showed up on my local Craigslist...i called the guy, then hopped in the car to drive two hours to get it. when i got there, the guy's shop partner had unknowingly sold it to someone else.
The Hurst Indy Floor Shifter - for trucks - is still listed as available on the Hurst Web site for 63 and up. Says they have 25 in stock...I adapted one fro my 62...
Unfortunately Rusty, I am still working on getting it moving. Time and Money are keeping this project lingering. However I should have an answer for you soon...I hope.
