iv got to get back to climbing them 70-80 foot trees.im starting to get fat! lol.

Been thinking about it. Need to buy some buckets, but it's really too warm for it....needs to be below freezing at night and above in the day.

good morning Mainers,neighbors and friends.today old chipper truck goes in for her trans rebuild and upgrade.
down for a week.i dunno what to do when shes not out in the yard...........besides freak out lol.im sure she'll be well cared for.

Well that's good. Hopefully it won't take that long. Get 'er back on the road!

I think I am going to start maple sugaring this week, I need to buy some buckets first, tho.

It's gonna depend on tap flow, but usually I just need 3 trees, 2 are sugar maples and huge, ones a young one. Usually just 7 taps for 1-2 gallons of Grade A syrup.

Just curious how many gallons of raw syrup do you need to get 1 to 2 gallons of grade A?
