yeah there is a different feel to the truck now.the transgo tugger kit in there made it feel better than the older shift kit i had.it's one that addresses a lot more things i guess in the valve body.
shifts are even slightly firmer than past shift kit i had installed, but mostly quicker! i thought they went into gears pretty quickly after my last kit install, but this tugger really snaps 'em right in there.surprisingly as quick as it does,it still doesn't "slam" into the next gear, still just crisp and firm only.not sure how they pulled that one off.she really has a nice increase in hd feel to the truck now with this reman.of course i got an updated center support and front pump and more,so no doubt that all counts for the increased hd feel of it too.there's no doubt something happened.
good morning Mainers,friends and neighbors.
oooo doggies! keep bundled up and them fires burning Gerry.
we've been going though a cold dip again(thats March for ya,up and down) but we're creeping up into the high 30's/low 40's now.
the best part though is we have some blue sky and sunshine back! ahh that's what makes winters seem to drag on,when ya get daylight it's all dreary overcast.
getting to be nice again now.
just noticing today's date being half way through March looking forward to warmer weather............iv been a non smoker after 18 years for 3 solids months now.that's a 1/4 year!
i still have times when i wish i was a smoker and or actually have a crave for one.strangely, once in a while they'll actually be a pretty strong crave too.but i know it's all in my head now of course, and it passes quickly.sometimes without thinking i'll just stand up and head for the door to go out and have one lol.
^haha.now thought just lend me to figure out how much im saving.
in 1.25 years or another 1 yr from now (next March) without my pack a day smoking,it will be like paying for my recently rebuilt transmission for my truck!
7 bucks a pack her in Maine (taxed high) for about 7$ a day/ 50$ week/200$ month/2400$ year habit.
don't ever pick up smoking kids.
Good luck! Never been a smoker but known many people try to give it up and have seen hoe hard it is for them. Guess it would be like giving up my coffee.
oh it's not even on the same level as trying to give up something like coffee.
try to imagine the hungriest and thirstiest and the most physical and the most metal pain you have ever been in.now combine all those feelings at once and with these in mind also imagine denying yourself all the oxygen you can as well........and i would have traded that state in a heartbeat inside the first few weeks of quitting smoking if it would ease the withdraws of nicotine.wouldn't have thought twice about it.
it's nothing you'd wish on your worse enemy.outright miserable and darn near impossible.literally hell on earth.
lets say after 3 weeks someone held a gun to my head and said pickup smoking again for a couple months and then quit again or i'll shoot you dead......i'd just say tell the family i love 'em.seriously.i wouldn't do it again.rather literally die.
if you know someone who was a long term smoker and they're trying to kick the addiction (not just a habit) do everything you can to assist.they need it!
wow what a time of it.good god.
no no.thank the maker that's just the first week or two.with the first few days the very hardest.after that your home free.if you go return to smoking after the first few weeks, then you never really wanted to quit.now after a 1/4 year it's smooth sailing really.just occasionally like the extreme thirstiness with a touch of pain if you will, then quickly goes right away.a walk in the park now lol.
High pressure anchored overhead will bring a bright start to the day on Monday before the system pushes off to our east. This will allow clouds to increase ahead of another storm that will impact us Tuesday. Expect cloudy skies on Tuesday with snow and some mixed precipitation developing by afternoon as a low pressure system slides into lower New England. This storm will push northeastward Tuesday night and into the day on Wednesday, likely bringing accumulating snowfall to our area, with some mix possible in coastal communities. While it’s still too early to pinpoint exactly how much snow we’re going to see, at this point, it looks to be a plowable snow. Weather - WABI TV5
no more!!!!! ah man.ok,bring it on.glad i didn't call up and make that front end alignment appointment yet.this is March for ya.
glad i got my trans rebuilt professionally so im right back in action and all ready to go again!

Alignments are for sissies!!!
And I hear ya on the snow.... I just pray my driveway re-freezes before it does hit us.
I probably should pull what I have for sap in the buckets and store it tonight....ugh....it's a wicked PIA putting it in the snowbanks when they are frozen solid, lol!
And after 276,000 miles, the clutch is letting go again in my 97 Subaru Legacy. That SOB still gets 30mpg....but the body is SOOOOO rusted, I don't think I'll fix it this time. Gonna suck driving the truck all the time for the cost of fuel....but I guess I'll have to swing it either way.
