I never leave home without a spare solenoid in the tool box. When I buy them now, I buy them in pairs. I have had better luck with the motorcraft ones, but still nothing great. It's disappointing when I have such a great ignition system otherwise.
Anyone know what this might be? buddy just called me up to go check out his 2006 6.0L. He thinks its torque converter, i think its turbo related. The kind of humming/vacuum cleaner noise. i know you can hear it, i showed my dad and he said "huh"
I dont think its an exhaust leak from the up pipes, especially because it just started yesterday morning. I think he was just hammering on it and somehow split a boot
Eyes are good Pete, Still get a bit dry toward the end of the day, and in the morning when I wake up, very happy overall though!

Sad that nobody makes a good one, do the motorcraft ones come with a warranty?
check for boost leaks, it sounds like the whine follows turbo rpm.
thats why i thought turbo when i heard it. Told him to check all the boots tomorrow for cracks/splits, and especially the sweet plastic cold side pipe on those. metal pipe upgrade ftw
