Finally got back to Balise Ford to have them fix my tire balance issue. This is the fourth time I've been back to there, and the service manager came right out and saw my concerns with the old valve stems, multiple wheel weights on each wheel, and the mismatching of the tires.
Took them an hour to balance all four wheels for the third time, and one of them was 1.75 oz off, which would explain my persistent vibration. And even then they had a crappy time getting them to balance, with them having to check each wheel repeatedly.
The best part is that this dealer doesn't even have the correct valve stems in stock! So even if they got the balance right I have to return to get those put in. After I confirmed this with the service manager I told him that they owed me a tank of gas. He backpedaled and said they could give me a free service that I rejected after explaining that the cost of an oil change is less than 1/4 of what this debacle has cost me in gasoline. He said that they would focus on getting it fixed first and then making it right with me afterward, so we'll see if they did in fact fix the problem.
On the bright side I almost bought THIS:
