LMC Core Support Help

I have a '66 F-250 2WD that needs a radiator core support. I've found a couple at LMC but there is no exact application for a 66 F-250 2WD. They have one that fits:

61 - 64 f-100 and f-250
65 f-100 4WD
65 - 66 f-250 4WD this is LMC part no. 43-2855-T

and another that fits:

65 f-100 and f-250 2WD
66 f-100 4WD this is LMC part no. 43-2857-T

What I'm trying to figure out is which one of these would offer the closest fit to what I have with the least amount of modifications? What is the difference in 4WD and 2WD? What is the difference in 65 and 66 F-250 2WD? Are the inner fenders not round on 61-64s which would basically rule out 43-2855-T?

If anybody out there has used one of these could you please advise on what the major differences are and what problems were encountered on installation. Thanks.

Thank you, I've been looking here for pertinent threads but missed the one you linked to.

They have one that fits: 43-2855-T = C2TZ-16138-G = 1961/64 F100/250 2WD/4WD / 1961/66 F350/600 / 1965 F100/250 4WD / 1966 F250 4WD

And another that fits: 43-2857-T = C6TZ-16138-C = 1965 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD

C6TZ-16138-B = 1966 F100/250 2WD / Obsolete - Not reproduced.

1965 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD use unique radiators, as their mounting flanges are in a different location than 1966 F100/250 2WD.

Type any of these three Ford part numbers into the search function and see how many threads appear (100's!). These 3 supports have more related threads than any other 1961/66 part.

I've personally typed at least 200 posts in these threads, with the same info as above.

Thanks Bill, I've gone over many of these threads and there is much help but just today I was able to purchase a rust free core support for a 66 F250, so thankfully I won't be trying to make something fit. Many thanks for your input throughout these forums.

Well I'm back in the game. The "rust free" core support I had purchased turned out to be basically little better than what I have. The seller evidently thought his core support was clean until he pulled the bumper and rock guard off, only to find it had rot on the ends as most all do. So I'm either ready to retro-fit a reproduction part or find an original 66 support.
