Thanks for the response. LMC part is not oem, but it is steel, original fabrication. Total w/shipping would be $406. I'll keep looking, but I may get back to you.
Yeah im in need of a 66 2WD core Support too. hard to find but i found one on ebay motors. just type in 1966 ford core support and look through. im not in the market for one cause i figured out how expensive paint is going to be. just the front fenders, and front clip minus bumper and grill is $1006. that includes minor dent repair and pitting filled. along with minor renforcement of the piece that goes behind the bumper. its got a little swiss cheeze on it. but nothing bad. good luck i think i saw it on ebay 2 days ago and when i saw it the auction had 4 days left.
Check around on eBay. I picked one up for my 64 out of Sacramento, CA for $180 + $60 shipping by Greyhound to VA. It was in excellent shape with no rust.
gangstakr - Wish I had known that 4 months ago, and I would have gotten the radiator support from you. By the way, did you see the new 1964 grill up for bid on ebay? Kind of makes you drool.
LMC...and every other aftermarket parts vendors supports are 61-4, 65 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4WD and 66 F250 4WD...

yeah, the brand new ones fit things like the 65 f-150 & 250 4x4s with the rounded inner fenders. the right ones have a flange on the inside to bolt on the more angled inner fenders like 66 2-wheel drives. wanta know how i know? we got 3 of those trucks.

For what you will pay for one if you find it, you can pay sombody to do a lot of metal replacement on yours unless yours is just totally wasted.
I think what happened was it was the victim of battery acid. The worst part is just below the battery tray, which is completely eaten all the way through, and the rotting extends to about halfway across. when I removed it from the frame, it pretty much just pulled right off--sad. I may look for someone to do the metal replacement.
Ford's design on these allowed them to rust from the inside out. I know of 3 truck purchased new here in the area. One has been kept under a carport all its life and the other two in garages. Although they are extremely nice trucks they all have some (minor) rust in the support.
If ever driven in the rain the front tire throws water onto the back side of the radiator support. It runs down to the joint where the bottom channel is joined. These joints were not sealed to keep water out as well as the joints on most of todays trucks. The water would get inside and with the inside unpainted and no drain holes the rust would start and 40+ years later you have a see through radiator support.
I have taken some off of wrecked trucks that looked to be very solid, cut them into pieces with a saws-all, and the rust pits on the inside is nearly 3/4 of the way through the metal. That's why I would fix my old one if it is't extremely bad. Used ones that look nice can be expensive and some of them after they are sandblasted will still show pin holes where the thin spots are. Some folks have even said, " OK' I'll just sand and paint it and won't sandblast it". I hope there aren't a lot of folks out there that think this will make a huge difference.
I rebuilt the bottom of mine, drilled 8 3/4" drain holes in the bottom, mixed several partial cans of leftover pain together, poured it in the holes. With the help of a friend we turned it at all angles to get a good coating on the inside and then let the rest of it drain out. I put it back on the truck 12 years ago and it still shows no signs of rust. This is also a daily driver, rain, sleet, or snow.

Before you bid on ebay, you need to make sure your getting what you want. There is one on ebay I asked the seller what it came out of and his reply was "Not sure 65 or 66, I think their both the same." He could'nt tell me if it was out of a 100 or 250 2wd or 4wd. So based on that I would keep looking unless you could get a definate answer or, your willing to work on it cause it might need modification to fit.
