66 core support question

hey guys,
so i have a question about replacement core supports. i cant seem to find one for my 66 f100. i find them for other years or for 4 wheel drives but none for my 66 2wd. i found a repro for a 61-64 that says will fit with cutting off a bracket and drilling some holes. does anyone know if this is true? i want to start pulling apart my front end but i dont want to reassemble without all the parts. any help is appreciated guys.
thanks

I purchased the core support repro from LMC Truck several years back, and it does fit, but you will need to modify a bit. Nothing too drastic, but an actual '66 core support will save you some time.

Where in the hell did you get this crap info? There is no way, none .. that any 1967/79 core support will bolt up to any 1965/66.

1965/79 F100/350: There are EIGHT different core supports.

1965 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD use a different core support (C6TZ-16138-C) than 1966 F100/250 2WD (C6TZ-16138-B), because the radiator flanges are in a different location.

1965 F100/250 4WD, 1965/66 F350/600 & 1966 F250 4WD use a different radiator support (C2TZ-16138-G) than either of the above.

1967/72 F100/350: There are two different radiator supports: C7TZ-16138-A & C7TZ-16138-B

C7TZ-16138-B was only used with the Super Cooling radiator, because this radiator is taller than the other radiators and so...the support has a larger opening radius.

1973/79 F100/350 with round headlamps: Two different radiator supports: D3TZ-16138-B & D3TZ-16138-D

D3TZ-16138-B has two sets of mounting holes and a larger opening radius, was only used with the Super Cooling radiator that is taller than the other radiators.

1978/79 F100/350 with rectangular headlamps: D8TZ-16138-A = Core support is dished inwards behind where the headlamp buckets mount.
