clutch problem or tranny?
You said the clutch pedal was soft so bleeding made no
difference?
That could indicate a weak clutch pressure plate.
The clutch not completely releasing could also be
caused by worn clutch pedal pivot bushings.
You need to look under the dash at the pedal linkage
for excessive play. This problem wouldn't cause a soft pedal.

If the transmission shifter feels sloppy you need
to replace the two plastic shifter bushings or pivot pins.

Hey Guys i need some help here on buying a new clutch, I dont know what one to buy, ????? I have a 98 F150 4x4 5 speed 4.6 L extend cab 3rd door , 6.5 ft. bed, I pull a 16 foot mowing trailor, mowers and all about 3000 LBS. Thanks for your Help. Dave
