so im fixing to make a order at riffraff diesel, for a fuel bowl o-ring kit and a stock of fuel filters. while i have the bowl out im going to tighten my hpop output fittings up as one of them is seeping again and the o-ring is most likely trashed. i tightened it a while back but not as solid as id like because of fuel system parts in the way.
im currious as to what the difference between the check valve and non check valved fittings is?
One has a check valve whereas one doesn't. I know when I installed my adrenaline pump the instructions specifically stated NOT to re-install the check valves because the pump internally balances pressure across both heads. Not sure if you can eliminate the check valves on a stock pump but I don't see why you can't.
The OEM pump will work just fine without the check valves. I suspect the valves might be a carry over from the time when the reservoirs didn't have the standpipe.
