the whole switch except for the plug thats wired into the dash. now trying to figure out why none of the instruments work, gas gauge, temp and forth. it starts and runs fine but no instruments working. checked the fuses and there good. couple of wires hanging down, red, purple, i found a site that has the complete wiring layout.

Like I said earlier the wiring on these ol things is a little rough. And there is not alot of of room to get in there. Ck the grounds, time to fire up the ol multimeter or test light.

You are lucky though, cause I am sure there are a ton of bronco owning folks around there to lend a hand.

yeay way back 20+ years i opted for a old jeep, hey its served me more than well, but i did have a chance to buy a all stock and really clean bronco with a new engine. i still love my jeep but the broncos are worth a lot more.

I believe they come off fairly easy and then to save a little $ get it recovered at a local shop versus ordering a reproduced new one.

I have 3 from various yrs. in various conditions. I f you think yer interested I'd try'n figure out how to post pic (here or may B easier - 2 yer email). I like running w/o one. Looks good to me, spin the bolts off & take a look. U have to - to recover it w/what ever material you'd use anyway...
If the rest of the rig is in the same shape as that interior U R starting out w/something better than many (me 4 sure) of us do...
If the frnt chunk is oe U got the 1st yr. of the D44. The shifter looks like my '70's T-shift (same Tcase throughout the 12 yr. run but after '73 the J-handled came in w/slightly less grunt).
I found some nice chromies (***** to place in the windshield bolt holes) flashy! That & the head lght rims R the only chrome/flash on mine (o0OOPPps, acorn lug nuts 2)...

yeah ive got the dana 44 front. good thing. thats a thought, take it off and see what im working with. on a good note, ive got everything working, really hard to believe that it was all wires not connected. i kinda understand about the blower motor, that was really fun getting behind there to plug the wire back in. even more surprising was that i was able to unlock the plastic clamps to get the deforest hoses out of the way, and no they didnt break and the hoses are still good. only thing i didnt have to mess with was the wipers, and they do work on both speeds, fan too. love it. what i really need is a glove box latch. i find them online but for to much. another thing i got luck with is that a key i had laying around here form my old 55 f100 works the door locks, now thats lucky. its been 20+ years since ive messed with one of these old trucks. still have three wires under the dash that arent hooked up and still trying to find out where they go.

U may wanna take out the 'gage cluster' to look at Y it aint workin. Quite often it's the IVR - it's @ the bottom on back. Letters = instrument voltage regulater. All the juice that runs that cluster go thru it. "Kevin" (I think from Utah) helped me get mine runnin. He's on CB as "falling down" I think. He could sell U an IVR AND help U trouble shoot it. He's a restorer (air, sea, land - resto of their vehicle dashes).

fordification has the schematics

BTW: I wuz gettin U mixed up w/another new owner from what I call the Far West. that rig would B priced the same around here (the NE) - give or take 2K. not orig paint I'd guess (look up the vehicle id plate @ ohiobronco ) no white "that" color & too shinny (40 yrs old). I really like it tho (esp in the West [heat], but good here/anywhere to show less dirt - only the rain washes mine).
