i have a 72 bronco sport and now find out that i should have 302 above the side marker lights. i dont have them and it doesnt look like there was ever anything there. no holes. were they stick on with double sided tape. even then i cant see any evidence of them.
Not sure; a seller on flebay might tell U, or any of the typical vendors. They could B off so long the adhesive 'ghost' is gone. My only one's the bronk "script" & it was probably on w/studs & clips. Do U think the frame'n chassy match the engine? May B the fenders & motor came seperate? it has been 40 yrs. Why not look up the casting numbers? Get to know yer ol buddy! (Hope u have it as long as da *heep*). The interior (door panel, seat fabric) is the Sport style (hounds tooth) fersure.
truck is all original. it is a sport. thought it might of come with w straight six but numbers show it came with a 302. friend of mine has a 70, ot came with the 302 and it held on with clips. cant see any sign of holes.
Fenders coulda been replaced? Give Chuck Atkins @ BC Broncos (owner) a phone call. He's been modin/restorin bronks since they came out. Just moved his operation to TX. He helped me figure out how to get disk breaks on the back'a my '70. Very giving, knowledgeable fella. If he's busy a sales person (or techie) can help. They should have the pair if U wann'em. All the guys sell em.
yeah, U outta have what U want (none'a dem is pristeen concourse correct anyway - cept whatiz name & his dad, get back 2 U on dat- Peroni? in PA?).
I'd call it the "model" emblem tho. U want the one on the fender behing the frnt wheel that sez "Sport" & "Bronco", no? There is a "289" or "302" that sits infront of the frnt wheel as well. I bet he sells that (along w/a buncha other stuff.)
The good thing about Chuck (he runs the Baja 1000 & created a new class - a classic running down there of vehicles that were around when the bronk driven by Parnelli Jones won that race twice) is he is always coming up with parts, mods and methods to improve the EB (no focus on the other bronks like Tom's, Jeff's, etc). K bar S wuz nice - like that too (gone now). To me Duff, who was similar, has left that in more recient years... some of the other typical vendors have one or 2 really nice parts (almost everything I buy is from Jeff's - 26 yrs worth)ie WH's body mounts 1 inch/no BL & gear banger R great, but Chuck has a whole line.
