Hold on a sec, did you get a guarantee in writing that says Ford won't be able to detect it? Do more research and you will see that Ford most likely can and will find evidence of a tuner if they look for it. There'll be no issues if you just use the Edge as a monitor but the second you tune the truck to anything other than stock, you run the risk of voiding your warranty. Do what you want but I wanted to make sure you had all the info before making a purchase and installing a tuner on bad info. Cheers

No , that's good advice , after checking deeper into It I decided not to get it , there is a etg probe that you have to drill and tap the Exhaust Manifold to install , also I wasent going to use it as a tune , I wanted to use it as a Monitor system for regan cycle , but edge did say if you use it for the tune that all you had to do was set it back to level 1 ( the stock setting )

Banks 6 gun with the IQ monitor will do what you want. Check it out.

Big plus is no drilling. It (the IQ) monitors via the OBD port.

It is an alternative.

Also you might look into something like a scanguage II that you can see several different items.

Every time the PCM is reflashed, there's a long list of U-codes that are set. The U-codes are complaints from each of the ECU's saying they lost communication with the PCM and TCM while they were being programmed. Normal code readers don't see them. I can see all of them with my Autoenginuity. They cannot be cleared...I tried it. They clear by themselves after some time as long as the problem doesn't show up again.

In addition, the OBD emissions monitors are reset each time a flash is done. There's also a mileage and number of warmups counter since reset that gets cleared. If the tuner did not restore the original version flash, that can be seen as well. In other words, if the dealer tech really wanted to dig into it, they can see all of it.

I also have a scangauge2. They don't have a PID listed for when regen is active or when the miles since regen request PID == 0, which means it's in regen, but you can monitor the CAT and DPF temperatures and watch them go through the roof.

The tuners for the 6.4 should be able to read the stock EGTA sensor directly and not need to drill holes for another one
