blower motor problem

When I turn the switch through the speed settings, I get nothing. NO AIR MOVEMENT or blower actuation. I have checked all the relays and fuses and and all are fine. I pulled the blower motor out and hooked it up to a power source and it runs just fine. I put my Multimeter on the connections, but that is where I draw the line. I have a multimeter, just dont really know what I am doing or looking for.

Any help from here would be great. I am guessing it is the switch itself or some sort of resistor problem, just don't know where to go from here. Thanks again in advance for any help from anyone.

Oh, by the way...it just happens to be the biggest snow of the year and the plow needs to be pushing...sort of hard to do without a fan and defrost! MIKE in MN

Sounds like the switch to me as long as everthig else cheks out as you said. Never been into one on these trucks but you should be able to remove the switch and check the contacts for the different resistance values. (Ohms scale on a lower setting 1 - 5K)

I am about 99% sure it is the switch....I will do some checking with a test light in the morning....if it is the switch...where do I go to get one....the bone yard or a place like auto zone or Orielly's?

I have personally had good luck with rock auto.com for my switches when needed for some of my other vehicles.
